From curiosity to your first move
A small beginning. A story to follow.
Read the situation
Find your immediate goal and the details you can act on. Refer to the current scene and character information when planning your move.
Describe an attempt
Tell the game what you want to do and how you try it. Ask a question, examine an object, or take a risk without deciding the outcome in advance.
Respond to the result
Follow the narration, visible checks, and requested choices. Resolve the current action before adding the next, and clarify a contradiction when needed.
Imagine the first scene
Give the game master an attempt to answer.
A locked archive holds the ship's passenger list. The clerk is watching the hallway, and you have an old delivery receipt.
Your possible next move
I show the receipt and ask to confirm the recipient's name. If the clerk checks the records, I watch which drawer they open.
An illustrative player action. It leaves the outcome open instead of assuming the clerk is convinced or the door unlocks.
What the AI game master contributes
The AI narrates the situation and responds to your character's attempts. Conversations, discoveries, and the next decision emerge as you play, rather than from a finished story you only read.
You retain control of what your character tries. A useful action tells the game your intention and method; the response gives you information for your next choice. You can ask for clarification when the scene is unclear.
Keep narration and game information in view
Playworlds places character sheets and dice alongside the story. When a detail involves a roll, equipment, or your character's condition, refer to the visible game information as well as the prose.
An AI narrator is not a guarantee of perfect rule interpretation or memory. If it contradicts an established clue or outcome, identify the specific detail and check the current state before continuing.

A general chatbot can help brainstorm a premise or improvise a conversation. A dedicated roleplaying game also provides a world-entry flow, character information, and a place to continue an adventure.
Try a short conversation and an uncertain action, then return to the saved adventure. Notice whether you can understand the scene and decide what to do next. Those experiences are more useful than choosing on a model name alone.

A few useful answers.
Does an AI dungeon master replace my decisions?
You choose what your character attempts. Describe an intention and an approach, then respond to the result. If narration assumes a choice you did not make, clarify your intended action.
Will every rule and earlier detail be remembered correctly?
No. AI narration can make mistakes. Check the current scene, visible outcomes, and character sheet, and identify a specific contradiction when you need to correct it.
Can I use this for a live group?
Playworlds currently focuses on solo adventures. Do not assume that a world or gameplay mode supports multiplayer; check the options available in the game.
